Kathy lien graduated at the age of 18. Since then she has been in the financial sector – learning, earning and teaching. Her story is one that clearly proves that the earlier you start the better. She started at a very young age. Though during that period, she was one of the few women in the financial sector, she quickly rose to success only to prove that anyone can. All one needs to do to achieve success is begin with it!

Her professional career began at JPMorgan Chase, where she worked on the interbank FX trading desk. Kathy had a specialization in currency. Later, on the cross markets proprietary trading group, she began trading FOREX, options, bonds, equities, interest rate derivatives and futures.

In 2003, Kathy joined FXCM. It was when she was here that she started the now leading online foreign exchange research portal, Being the chief strategist there, Kathy worked with a team of analysts. She helped in research and commentary on the foreign market.

In 2008, Kathy joined Global Futures and Forex Ltd as the director of Currency Research. She is an expert on G20 currencies, who is frequently quoted in Reuters, Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Sydney Morning Herald, Bloomberg, UK Telegraph, and similarly many other leading financial news publications.

Besides being a Forex expert strategist, Kathy Lien is also an author. Her books include:
